ACM Meeting – Friday @ 4:35 – Dr. Tevis on Grad School

November 18, 2008

Hi Everyone!

Dr. Tevis will be presenting at our next ACM meeting held this Friday, Nov. 21st at 4:35pm (5 minutes or so later than usual because Dr. Tevis teaches Computer Graphics until then). The meeting will be held in LH 133 as usual.

Come hear Dr. Tevis speak about graduate study opportunities in computer science and software engineering. He will start out by outlining one of his areas of research: detecting copied source code files in assignments submitted by students.  He will then talk about his lessons learned in applying for a graduate study program, taking the graduate record examination (GRE), going through a graduate program of study, and later being an adviser in a graduate degree program.

Drinks will be provided!

I hope to see you there,

Elijah Lofgren
LETU ACM President
