ACM Meeting Friday @ 4:30 – Ruby

September 30, 2008

Hi Everyone!

The next ACM meeting will be this Friday, October 3rd at 4:30pm in LH-133. James Bracy will be presenting “Ruby for a Newbie”. This will be an introduction to Ruby as a scripting language, separating the language from Rails.

Don’t miss this introduction to “a dynamic, open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity.” Ruby isn’t just for websites. Ruby is used by NASA to conduct simulations and for the macro scripting API of Google Sketchup.

As usual, drinks will be provided.

I hope to see you there,

Elijah Lofgren

LETU ACM President
